Product & Quality
Are the prints signed?
Only limited editions are signed and numbered by the artist. Open editions (e.g., posters) are unsigned.
What does “Open Edition” mean?
Open Editions are not limited and are not signed. They differ from Limited Editions in terms of production and materials.
What quality of paper is used?
The paper quality depends on the type of print. Limited editions such as screen prints, etchings, or embossed prints are created on particularly high-quality materials (e.g., Hahnemühle, Meta Paper, Römerturm, etc.). Open editions vary depending on the production method.
What is the general product quality?
All products—whether prints, objects, or accessories—are created with high standards of design, materials, and workmanship. Differences in feel, surface, or weight arise from the respective production method and should be understood as part of the design concept.
Some series are created in an experimental context—for example, as small editions, temporary collaborations, or collector's items made with deliberately selected materials. Differences in workmanship, feel, or surface texture are possible and part of the artist's signature.
Framing
Is there a suitable frame?
For some motifs, we offer optional matching frames – this is indicated directly on the respective product page. We generally recommend high-quality framing by a specialist workshop, especially for limited editions, to ensure both the durability and impact of the work over the long term.
If you have any questions about framing, we will be happy to advise you individually.

What is the difference between Steffen Mumm and Studio Mumm?
Steffen Mumm is the main artistic direction – here, unique pieces such as canvases, sculptures and wall designs are created, mostly in the context of exhibitions, collections or independent projects.
Studio Mumm is the expanded line for editions, collectibles, and design objects—that is, works in series, experimental formats, and selected products for a wider audience.
Both lines are independent, but artistically connected.
